We are proud to have been chosen as the area hub for the Sheffield Youth – Neighbourhoods & Communities project.
The project is working in three areas of Sheffield, working with local organisations and groups to manage local needs and social issues affecting young people, listening to the lived experience of young people and the community, to plan and design meaningful support for what they need the most.
Our partnership will strive to positively change young people’s lives, especially those not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET, exploitation, gang affiliation or crime.
We will help young people meet their full potential by building communication skills, confidence, resilience and self-efficacy, encouraging different pathways. We’ll do this through sports and crafts and by providing opportunities to socialise/work in a safe environment within community spaces. We will also address digital exclusion and provide support around employment, training and education and community leadership.
We’ll also provide support for mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and trauma, and support for people experiencing domestic abuse, substance misuse, self-harm, and criminal or sexual exploitation.
