2023 Activities

Our regular activity schedule is below, with the last dates that each session will take place for 2023 in blue. Check our calendar for the latest information on sessions – and our activity schedule below shows restart dates for our group sessions.

Darnall Well Being activity schedule Monday 9.30-10.30am Women Only Yoga - mat or chair based yoga for women in the Darnall area at Darnall Primary Care Centre. All abilities welcome! £1 cost. Last date 11th December. 11am Health Walks - friendly group walks in High Hazels Park for all fitness levels. * Refreshments £1 at Darnall Primary Care Centre afterwards. Last date: 11th December 12.30-1.30pm Long Covid Support Group - monthly support group for people with Long Covid to learn to manage and improve their self care. Last date: 27th November 1-3pm Happy Memories Dementia Cafe with language support - monthly cafe offering chat, hot drinks and cakes. Cost £2 including refreshments and activities. Last date: 4th Dec Tuesday 10-11am Chairobics - women only gentle exercise at Darnall Primary Care Centre.* Next date: 12th December 11am-1pm Welcoming Place - weekly drop in at Darnall Primary Care Centre. Come for a cuppa, chat, local information and digital advice. Free of charge. Last date: 12th December 1.30-2.30pm - Women Only Yoga - mat or chair based yoga for women in the Tinsley area, at Tinsley Community Centre. All abilities welcome! £1 cost. * Last date: 12th December Wednesday 1.30-3pm Making Memories Dementia Cafe – friendly Dementia Cafe in Handsworth, offering chat, activities, hot drinks and cakes. £2 cost. Alternate Wednesdays. Last date: 20th December Thursday 9.45-11.45am Dementia Carers' Support Group - join others in Darnall who support loved ones with Dementia. Care available for your cared for person. Last date: 14th December. Diabetes Support Group – meet to learn how to manage Diabetes and reduce health risks. 11-12am in Tinsley (quarterly), 1-2pm in Darnall (monthly). Contact us for dates. 12-2pm Men's Health Group – meet fortnightly in Darnall with local men to have lunch, hear a speaker and join in a group exercise session. £1 cost. Last date: 14th December 1-2pm Chairobics – women only gentle exercise at Tinsley Community Centre.* £1 cost. Last date: 14th December Friday 10am-1pm Darnall Allotment Project - grow plants, grow relationships and grow confidence - at Infield Lane Allotments. LAst date: 15th December 11am-12pm Persistent Pain Group - for anyone aged 18+ who is experiencing persistent pain and would like support managing the pain. Monthly - last date 1st December 1-3pm Craft Club - craft activities and a chat with a friendly group in Darnall.* £1 cost. * Last date: 15th December. Sessions are held during school term times only Throughout the Week - EUSS support with settled status Support completing the EU settled status process. Our activity groups offer something for everyone. If you haven’t been before, why not do something new and give one of our friendly activity groups a try? Just give us a call or email us and we can book you onto any of the sessions. No need to commit to a block of sessions – just give one a try and see how you find it, whether that’s online or in person. All are welcoming groups, with a mix of people from around the Darnall and Tinsley area.

Staying Safe at our Activities

Whilst we have opened up our face-to-face activity after lockdowns, we will continue to maintain safe working practices. This means:

  • You are welcome and encouraged to wear a mask where you can or feel more comfortable to do so.
  • Keep a safe distance between yourself and others
  • We will continue to manage group sizes for activities
  • We will maintain cleaning and hygiene practices
  • We ask if you are unwell or do test positive with Covid-19, you do not attend
  • We encourage you to get your vaccines/booster
