Dementia Stars shine!

We are pleased to have worked with Enrichment for the Elderly once again to offer their flagship Dementia Stars training programme for local people.

Fourteen members of the community attended across three sessions in September 2025, putting themselves in the shoes of someone living with dementia. This helped them to understand the behaviours and reactions of someone living with Dementia, so that they could find out what they might do to better help and support a person with Dementia.

The programme was delivered by Enrichment for the Elderly founder, Grace Stead, and was split into 3 sessions (Bronze, Silver and Gold), giving participants chance to reflect between sessions and to re-establish learning regularly.

After attending each workshop, participants received a badge and a certificate for the relevant stage. They all found the training really helpful and rewarding, giving feedback including:

The practical knowledge that was shared was so relevant and enabling.

Really interactive, informative and engaging!
